A friend gave me a large box of knives and mixed in was this Microscope kind of thing.
I haven’t started sleuthing the web yet. It’s pretty neat.
I found a brand new Victornox knife and a genuine Stiletto in the box too.

That’s wild. It’s not a microscope, I think, but maybe a jeweler’s loupe?

looks like a jewlers tool of some kind. high magnification, limited viewing distances, acromatic lenses. maybe a watch building loop

You dip it on an ink pad then have your friend look through, then you have no friend.

It’s a tool used by manicurists in Malaysia to do highly-detailed paintings on aristocrats’ fingernails.

Best I can find is it being a “pocket microscope”.
Who knows what for. Heck. It’ll look neat on a shelf.

Would I lie or embellish the truth?

If you've never been an aristocrat in Malaysia addicted to one-of-a-kind manicures, you can't disprove it.
